We aim present an exceedingly case a large fibroepithelial polyp describe its management. METHODS: The patient was 32-year-old healthy female who presented with gross hematuria. Workup including CT IVP (computed tomography intravenous pyelogram) demonstrated left mid ureteral mass. underwent diagnostic ureteroscopy biopsy mass followed robotic excision reconstruction ureter. RESULTS: total operative time for 185 minutes. In time, performed defining intramural multiple sites attachment. Frozen sections were obtained benign pathology. Robotic assisted laparoscopic exposure ureter performed. longitudinal ureterotomy made delivered out measuring 7.1cm entirely excised. remaining tailored reconstructed around indwelling stent. discharged on post-operative day 1. five month follow up Xray showed patent without hydronephrosis. CONCLUSIONS: tumors. interesting that management even very masses is feasible favorable outcomes. Benign fibroepithelial polyp of the ureter

Benign tumors of the ureter are rare and most often appear in the form of fibroepithelial polyps [1]. Fibroepithelial polyps represent from 2 to 6% of all benign tumors of the urinary tract [2]. The Authors report on two cases of fibroepithelial polyps of the ureter, which they treated between 1993-2009. One case was presented by acute urinary retention and gross hematuria. In the second case, ...

Endourologic Diagnosis and Robotic Treatment of a Giant Fibroepithelial Polyp of the Ureter

Background: Fibroepithelial polyps (FEPs) are a rare cause of ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) obstruction. Radiologists and urologists are not always confident with this disease because of its rarity, complex diagnosis, and heterogeneity of the available treatment options. Case Presentation: We present the endourologic diagnosis and the robotic management of a ureteral polyp close to the left UPJ....

Robotic assisted laparoscopic excision of a retroperitoneal Ganglioneuroma

INTRODUCTION Ganglioneuromas are rare benign neoplasms of the sympathetic nervous system. We describe the case of an incidentally found ganglioneuroma in a woman. To our knowledge this is the first described case of robotic excision of a retroperitoneal ganglioneuroma. CASE A 41-year-old female had an incidental retroperitoneal mass found during a routine US. CT scan and MRI showed an 8.3cm h...

A Patient with Fibroepithelial Polyp of the Ureter—A Rare Condition Mimicking Malignancy: A Case Report

A 61-year-old man presented with hematuria and intermittent right pelvic pain. Intravenous urography showed a tubular filling defect and ureteroscopy a tumor in the right mid ureter. Urine cytology and tumor biopsy showed nonmalignant results. Open surgery was performed, and an intraoperative frozen section revealed a fibroepithelial polyp of the right mid ureter. A fibroepithelial polyp is a r...
